- Care Consultation: Consultations of one to three sessions with a member of the DNP team are offered to parents or other family to discuss their concerns about a family member and explore possible options for evaluation and/or treatments
- Support for families of children with newly diagnosed autism or other conditions: The DNP offers weekly support sessions to parents who have a newly diagnosed child, including education, advocacy, and parent counseling. The sessions are held over 6 weeks and are led by a professional from the DNP
- Behavioral Management Skills for Parents: parents are taught practical, behavioral techniques to use at home to enhance social interaction and lessen difficulties.
- Parent and Sibling Counseling: Parents or siblings may find it helpful to meet individually or as a family with a professional who understands autism or other social learning problems to discuss the unique challenges that they are facing in their lives.
